The elevator industry is in great need of trained technicians with up-to-date skills. Working as an elevator technician is a hands-on and varied job that involves spending a lot of time in the field installing, modernizing, servicing, and repairing elevators. You’ll have a lot of independence and will be able to plan your work largely on your own.
In the fall of 2022, the Motum Group launched its own elevator technician training program. The program consists of a one-year basic training course and a six-month advanced training course. During the basic training, students are employed on a fixed-term basis with a salary at one of Motum’s subsidiaries, and upon successful completion of the program, they will be offered a position at the same company. Immediately upon employment, a 6-month mandatory advanced training program begins, with a focus on practical training. The practical components of the training will be conducted at the place of employment, while the theoretical components will be carried out at the Group’s training center, Motum Academy in Stockholm.
The application period for the 2026 elevator training program will open this spring.
