Motum Takes the Next Step in Southern Sweden

On July 1, 2026, Motum AB became the sole owner of Motum Syd through the acquisition of the remaining shares in the company. The acquisition is a natural next step in the long-term plan that has been in place since Motum Skåne—as it was then known—was founded in 2020, and it entails no changes for customers or employees.

Since its inception, Motum Skåne has grown steadily and established a stable business with a high level of local expertise and close customer relationships. Now, Motum is taking the next step to create even better conditions for continued growth in southern Sweden.

“This is a natural step in the journey we began together when Motum Skåne was founded. We’ve seen tremendous growth over the years and look forward to continuing to build the business together as a fully integrated part of Motum,” says Fredrik Eliasson, CEO of Motum AB.

Tom Westerholm and Andreas Persson will continue in their current roles and will continue to lead the business together with their colleagues in the South.

“We’re proud of what we’ve built together since 2020. For our customers, this change makes no difference—the same employees, the same local presence, and the same high level of service. At the same time, we’ll have even better opportunities to develop our business together with the rest of Motum,” says Tom Westerholm.

Motum thus continues to strengthen its presence in southern Sweden, focusing on long-term customer relationships, a local presence, and a high level of technical expertise.
