The fact that Motum is the sustainable elevator group is both a reality and a goal. Even though our color is green and we always strive to find solutions that are good for both people and the environment, we still have a lot of work to do. Climate change is the great challenge of our time, and we all need to do better in this regard. That is why, for example, we almost always advocate modernization over new installation whenever possible—it means at least 50 percent less environmental impact!
Sustainability. Motum supports the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by UN member states in 2015. Our ambition is to become a leader in sustainability and drive the advancement of sustainability within the industry.
The Motum Group was founded in 2014, but our history goes back much further than that.
Motum Stockholm (formerly ITK, Hissgruppen, and Uppsala Lyftservice) are the oldest subsidiaries in the group. They were established as early as the 1970s and 1980s. They were followed by Motum Närke (formerly Hisscentralen) and Motum Mitt (formerly Nordisk Hiss), which celebrated their 20th and 30th anniversaries, respectively, over the past year.
Since the Motum Group was founded, we have grown steadily, and today we are Sweden’s largest independent supplier of elevators and doors. However, our ambition remains the same as it has always been: to take Sweden to new heights by focusing on being a local service partner.
